A "nov" is an unfinished novel, one that was incomplete when the author died. An example is the final novel of Charles Dickens: "The Mystery of Edwin Drood."
Origin: "Nov" is a noun formed by dropping the last syllable of "novel" and it is pronounced "naw-v."
