ecozen

A person who considers him or herself to be not just a
citizen not just a member of the human race but a member
of the ecological community as a whole.
<p>
Ecozens hold the view that humans are inextricably linked to
the earth's ecosystems that our food, water, energy,
health and wellbeing depend entirely on our sustainable
participation in earth's ecological community.
<p>
More broadly defined, ecozen includes animals, plants, and
single celled organisms. While these creatures may not have
the level of consciousness to perceive themselves as
ecozens, they are important players in the biodiversity that
sustains all life on this planet.
