brotiger

The term brotiger can be traced to back to several distinct etymological sources. Ancient Mayan codexes are riddled with the word "bro'tyger" which can be loosely translated as "the loud warrior." Strangely enough, a series of Egyptian scrolls discovered in southern Cairo feature a glyph for "the Broh-tigris," an obscure religious warrior who at one point in history rivaled the sun-god Rah in terms of cultural popularity.

Modern usage of 'brotiger' is limited at best. It is predominantly a term of kinship, mutual respect, and group acceptance. It is generally used to reinforce a preexisting group dynamic and maintain the accepted hierarchy of said group. Those who are not considered true brotigers are ostracized and receive a smaller portion of the spoils.

Some examples:

"Oh brotiger!"

"These brotigers! Brotigris euphrates!"

"Alright! Alright there! Brotiger!"
