This is a portmanteau of the Bogan, the Australian word to describe the equivalent of the British Chav or the American Redneck/trailer-trash, and the suffix 'ista' indicating a dedication to and almost aggressive defense of a position.
The Boganista believes that the highest position of respect in the country is the Captain of the Cricket team, believes that any education after age 14 is a waste of time as all knowledge can be acquired through experience, aspires to own not a Mercedes but the most expensive ute (pickup) made by Holden (National Australian car maker), considers baked beans to be the only really edible food and foreign food as something to be pitied, and derides points of view different from this as 'un-Australian'.
The height of Boganista culture is to be a 'cashed up Bogan', meaning that they have secured sufficient income and disposable capital to actually drive the ever-clean ute, have a 50" screen TV, have an endless supply of black t-shirts, and can holiday in Bali at will.
The Boganista considers himself or herself a representative of mainstream Australian culture, though is thoroughly unmotivated by such considerations as 'culture'.11/14/13
